Winter pondering

One might think that window washing is out of the question during the winter months.  Depending on where you live, you would most likely be correct.  However, the temperatures this winter in the St. Louis area have been exceptionally mild, and we at True View have had a fairly busy January washing windows!  The issue with cold windows is the water hardening (icing) on you before you can remove it from the window.  This causes the squeegee to leave streaks. As long as the temperature is above about 30 degrees, we can use warm water and get good results on your windows.

Winter months provide views all their own, unique in their beauty.  A barren woods set to a clear blue background can be breathtaking.  Just yesterday I was washing when I saw a bright red cardinal perching on a branch in the midst of a a tangled mass of brown branches and twigs.  It was a beautiful sight!  I also enjoy watching the daring adventures of squirrels as they leap from tree to tree with no foliage to cover or block their spectacular feats of balance and coordination. Standing in your kitchen with a cup of hot coffee and gazing through your sparkling clean glass is a whole different take on the concept of "home theater"!

Finally, windows cleaned in the winter tend to stay clean for a good while, until the pollen from Spring begins to float through the air.  Unless you live in an area that has excessive precipitation and stormy weather in the wintertime, I find that the cold temperatures have a way of filtering the air, which prevents build up on your windows.  So if your views are cloudy this winter, give us a call...odd's are we can change that!
